In daily practice, teamwork is of paramount importance within the healthcare settings, particularly in specialised fields such as cardiothoracic surgery. This is due to the fact that collaboration, communication, and synchronisation play a vital role in ensuring successful patient outcomes. The aim of this paper is to propose strategies to promote effective teamwork within a cardiothoracic surgical setting, elaborating on general teamwork principles and applicable concepts from healthcare.
